Honoring Who You Are!

Winter is a time that many of us pull back a bit from our external lives and go to a quiet place of reflection. Whatever time of year it, it’s an excellent opportunity in which to discover or review your values. If it’s winter, it may feel even more appropriate.
A great step in the exploration towards reclaiming your life is to understand your own personal values. Ask yourself this question: “Who am I?” The focus is on your own uniqueness rather than on the norms of society or who you “should” be. These values express the essence of who you are.

Your Life is Like Shopping

Life is about shopping. We make choices as soon as we wake up. What to wear, where to go, decisions every where.
Think of your environment as a boutique. It is open 24 hours all seven days. Make a list before you go shopping. What do you need? You might need some basic clothes. A pair of shoes and maybe a hat? Do you do your shopping just occasionally or regularly? Think about the shops you visit. Is it the same as everybody else is going to or is it special ones? Can you see yourself in your life as the way you do your shopping?
Do you make a list everyday? I mean the planning for the following day. It is vital for your business with a plan. If you fail to plan then you plan to fail. It is always a good quote.

Low self confidence affects everyone at different times of one’s life. Self confidence is a trait that is needed in order for us to accomplish our daily goals and achieve success in all areas of life. Loving Our Bodies

I was working with a client this week, whose daughter is 10 years old and is already showing signs of body image issues. 10 years old!!!!!! This woman is a fantastic mom who supports her daughter to be healthy and strong. But, somehow this adorable young girl is getting messages that her body is not “thin enough.”
I recently read an article about a family who allowed their teenage daughter to get a boob job because she didn’t like the size of her breasts. The girl was only 16 years old! I am not making a judgment about what this family did–this is more of a discussion about how young people are when these body issues start to sneak in.

Reconnecting With the Self

One of the key elements in reclaiming your life is to develop a strong relationship with your Self. This sounds so simple and yet many people are in conflict because they have a limited relationship with their inner world.
They are driven by external forces and lead lives through others. They wake up in the morning, and hit the floor running: take a shower, get the kids up, say a brief “hello” to their partners, eat some breakfast (maybe), get the kids to school, get to work, spend the next 8 hours doing stuff that they may love or not, pick the kids up, take them to various activities, get home, sigh, prepare dinner, do some laundry, and then-then they crash if they haven’t already! They watch TV, or stare at one page in the novel they have been trying to read for the last two weeks, and it is then time to sleep-yeah! Then they wake up and do it again! Does any of this sound familiar?

Other People’s Doubts and the Law of Attraction

It’s wonderful when your family and friends believe in and encourage your business vision. But what if they don’t? Are you doomed to feel miserable, too timid to move forward with your dreams? Or could there be another way?
Let’s be honest: other people’s doubts about you feel rotten. I’ve had coaching clients who blamed all of their lack of progress with a business idea on unsupportive and even hostile family members. “My parents think I’m crazy to leave a good job just to follow a dream that may never come true. And maybe they’re right.”
